Atashika Beach|A Clear Blue Beach with Calm Waves That Makes You Want to Snorkel

Atashika Beach Mie

When we are traveling, we sometimes encounter surprisingly beautiful scenery at unexpected times.

As I drove from Ise City in Mie Prefecture to Wakayama Prefecture, I saw the blue sea on my left and decided to take a detour.

I parked my car at a place that looked like a beach in a small fishing port town, and saw a sign that said “Atashika Coastal Park.

In this article, I will tell you about our stop at Atashika Beach in Mie Prefecture.

In Kumano City, Mie Prefecture, there is a shallow bay called Atashika Bay.

In the inlet of the bay, there is a white sandy beach called Atashika Beach. In the photo above, the place where the white boats are anchored is Shinglu Fishing Port, and the beach is in the foreground.

The fishing port is also a popular fishing spot.

The shallow water in the cove has calm waves and is crystal clear.

Strolling along the sandy beach at Atashika Beach

Stop by on a sunny day when the waves are calm

A bridge

From the parking lot of Shinglu Beach, cross the bridge to the beach.

The beach at Shinglu Beach was very clean, with no trash. I wonder if the people of the town are cleaning the beach.

I never get tired of watching the waves rise and fall. The beach is so clear and beautiful that you will want to swim and snorkel on a sunny day.

Beaches where you can camp

You can set up a tent and camp on the beach at Atashika Beach (there is a charge for bringing your own tent).

You can also bring a pop-up tent and take a nap while listening to the sound of the waves.

Summary of Atashika Beach

Relaxing on the quiet shores of the Pacific Ocean while listening to the sound of waves

I’m not used to seeing the ocean, so just hearing the word “ocean” makes me excited. Atashika Beach was a heavenly place that I unexpectedly encountered.
